Collaboration with Te Pūtahi Māori o Manurewa, Auckland

class* recently had the privilege of partnering with Te Pūtahi Māori o Manurewa on the complete furniture fit out for their brand‑new school.

This project covered every learning and administrative space, and the class* team worked closely with the principal, leadership team and teaching staff to ensure the final outcome reflected the school’s vision for modern, flexible learning.

From the early planning stages, there was team collaboration on detailed layouts for all spaces, including junior and senior learning areas, technology rooms, staff spaces, offices, and breakout zones. Multiple discussions with teachers and leaders were held to understand how each space would function, and class* provided trial furniture so staff could experience different options before final selections were made.

Colour coordination was an important part of the process, and Area Sales Manager Suzanne Roxburgh-Blair worked with the school to develop a cohesive palette that supported both the architecture and the learning environment.

Suzanne also oversaw the full project management of the furniture supply, from ordering and scheduling through to delivery, installation and ongoing support. This included managing timelines, coordinating with suppliers, and being onsite throughout delivery and install to ensure every item was placed correctly, safely, and according to plan.

As part of the handover, class* provided the school with a complete furniture stock spreadsheet, giving them a clear and accurate record for future planning and asset management. class* also coordinated a cohesive colour palette across the school and provided a full furniture stock spreadsheet at handover for future asset management.
