Collaboration with Fairburn School, Auckland

Auckland’s Fairburn School is a long-term class* customer that’s bought many items over a long period of time. Executive Officer Lana Shaw talked to us about why Fairburn prefers class*.

What is it that’s made your school go with class* for so long?

We like working with class* because we’ve had a very long association with them and know through past experience that they have a huge selection to choose from, that they will cater for any specific requirements we have that are not part of their normal range, that the service will be excellent and that they’ll even provide the added requirements for assembly once on site.

Most of all, that class* is a company we trust completely to put every effort in to getting the products to us in excellent order and within the time frame we require.

What did this latest project entail?  

We’d restructured 2 blocks of classrooms into shared Modern Learning Environments, aiming to provide warm bright areas for children to enjoy shared learning at school and to also ensure noise within the spaces was reduced by selecting appropriate soft furnishings to cushion sound and add a different dimension to the rooms.

The new furniture we were able to select through class* really enhanced the look within these areas and provided us with many options to provide small group learning areas, offering different furniture to suit specific learning needs.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

An observation I’d like to share is that having a group of staff select furniture and then make changes must be a nightmare for any company – and this happened with regards to a couple of items we had ordered for this project. 

The class* team was amazing; they made the necessary changes without a fuss and provided the newly selected products within two weeks! 

Outcomes:

• A Modern Learning Environment that readily allows pupils to engage and learn in a way that suits their specific needs.
• A teacher body that was able to make changes and get the furniture they required within the timeline they asked for.
