Collaboration with Greymouth High School, West Coast

A school that sits at the heart of its community, Greymouth High went with class* to furnish its science, student café and digital science spaces. The school’s Executive Officer Raewyn McKnight gave us some insights into her class* experience:

Why class* over any other supplier?

To be honest, we went with class* because they were the most responsive furniture provider I had come across – with other providers, often I didn’t get any calls back.  Brent always called or got someone from head office to call.

Are you pleased with the results?

We have class* furniture in a number of areas now, and it’s been a real hit.  The café area is very popular with students now it has the new furniture; they like it and can reconfigure the furniture to suit different uses really fast. 

In the teaching spaces we have been able to configure things differently with much easier portability.  We were also able to get rid of very heavy, dangerous-to-move furniture with lighter, more colourful products which works nicely for the staff.

Was there one thing that really made class* stand out?

Responsiveness was the single most important factor in choosing class* – we’ve had some demands to provide information at very short notice and class* has always met those demands.  We appreciate that.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

We have had no issues with the class* products at all. No breakages, and the furniture seems to be holding its own against the ravages of secondary students!  Most orders arrived very quickly and if there were delays we were notified.  There were no communication issues at all.

Outcomes:

• Students making more use of and enjoying the café thanks to easily moveable attractive furniture
• Teaching spaces that can be configured far more quickly with lighter, colourful furniture – which pleases the teaching body
• Getting rid of heavy dangerous-to-move furniture is an added bonus!
